Cradle Coast Future Energy Hub welcomes community
Posted: 7th Nov
The Cradle Coast Future Energy Hub, the one-stop-shop for information on Tasmania’s energy future, has officially opened.
The Energy Hub is a joint initiative of the Cradle Coast Authority, TasNetworks and Hydro Tasmania to engage with the locals and regional stakeholders, providing information and listening to community feedback.
Community members are encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback about the opportunities that exist in the north-west and west coast areas of Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Government’s priority is to create jobs, and the Battery of the Nation will make the north-west and west coast the renewable energy engine room of Australia.
Renewable energy is perhaps Tasmania’s greatest economic opportunity for the next decade, with the Battery of the Nation and second interconnector projects set to create 2,400 new jobs and inject $6.5 billion into the Tasmanian economy over the coming years.
