JOB DESCRIPTION

Programmed Skilled Workforce in conjunction with our client in the outer Devonport area are seeking a Cleaner Team Leader for their factory site.

The Cleaner Team Leader is a hands-on position that also coordinates and leads the daily operations of employees and plans work schedules to ensure efficient and effective operations.

The responsibilities of the Team Leader consist of but are not limited to:
Work in a hands-on capacity and supervise to ensure all tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner consistent with established procedures, policies and practices
Work in conjunction with the Site Managers & PSW Account Manager to maintain and develop accurate records of operations and plans.
Oversee PSW employees.
Ensure regular maintenance and minor repairs on plant and equipment are carried out in an accurate and timely manner
Record and report damage, hazards, customer requests and work practice concerns.
Teach, demonstrate and guide employees on the job.
Provide accurate and timely paperwork
Ensure familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets

Safety, Environment & Quality
Ensure work is completed in a safe manner
Ensure the health and safety of other employees
Completes all HSE requirements prior to any works commencing and takes action to remove or mitigate identified risks
Adhere to all (Quality, Safety, Environmental) policies and procedures
Promote a Zero Harm culture that follows the Programmed safety beliefs and empowers all employees to be involved in HSEQ matters, pro-actively take action and protect people and the environment.

Required: Qualifications:
  • Chemical Awareness Training
  • Level 2 First Aid

Required: Proven Experience:
  • Experience in cleaning operations
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate cleaning equipment
  • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Ability to set targets to prescribed deadlines and prioritise work programmes
  • Ability to lead a small team
