JOB DESCRIPTION

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Physiotherapist (508310) vacancy.

Salary

$62,601 to $95,776 pro-rata, per annum

Classification

Allied Health Professional Manager Level 1-2

Award

Allied Health Professional (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019

Period of Employment

Permanent full-time day worker (with on-call), working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Please also note that this process may be used to fill fixed term casual opportunities as they arise.

Royal Hobart Hospital - Physiotherapy Services South

Duties

Within the THS – South Framework and in accordance with Agency Policy and Procedures, the Physiotherapist will:

  • Provide physiotherapy assessments and interventions to patients referred to the Physiotherapy Services, Tasmanian Health Services – South including the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
  • Participate in relevant quality improvement activities to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Provide collaborative patient care with other members of the multidisciplinary team across relevant areas of the RHH and THS - South as required.

Essential Requirements

Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer of any new criminal convictions and/or if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
