  • Manage Mid to Large-scale projects and mentor talented engineering teams

Welcome to Hazell Bros. We are Tasmania's leading family-owned and operated business specialising in Civil Construction, have been in operation for 75 years and have over 650 employees. Continually exploring new opportunities, we are excited to announce an opening for a strong Project Manager to join our team in Tasmania.

Are you the person we are looking for?
If you are, you're level headed and with credibility you establish trust by doing what you say you are going to do, built on years of establishing strong relationships, leading and delivering successful civil projects and managing your stakeholders expectations - where experience is concerned, you've got it in spades. Over 7+ years as a Project Manager, you've taken accountability for significant civil projects.

You've managed the implementation of bulk earthworks and drainage, irrigation schemes, dam construction, complex services infrastructure, and structural concrete works. Thanks to this experience, you now have the demonstrated ability to toe the line between project objectives and leadership of subcontractors, which you also owe to your top-tier organisational skills and diplomatic mindset.

In this full time, permanent role, you will achieve optimal production and cost outcomes through your management of staff and sub-contractors, your commitment to quality of work and your strong focus on health, safety and the environment. You'll be a Hazell Bros ambassador liaising with a range of stakeholders. You'll put your planning and budgeting skills to the test, and you'll demonstrate a people-management style that is firm but fair. You'll showcase your ability to problem-solve on a daily basis, and you'll use your leadership skills to set a consultative culture within your team. Using your mentoring skills you will bring the best out of your enthusiastic and talented young team.

In exchange for your hard work, you will be rewarded with an excellent team to work with, a competitive salary, fuel card and company car or an industry competitive car allowance.
