The Opportunity:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR role within an industrial/blue collar environment
  • Experience in agreement negotiation is desirable but not essential

  • Demonstrated ability in coaching others including leaders and employees continually developing their skills
  • High level problem solving skills with the ability to identify issues, think creatively and recommend strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolution
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from HR metrics to inform business decision making
  • Integrity and a positive attitude
  • A results orientated outlook, along with the ability to operate autonomously and problem solve
  • Motivation to learn and grow within a team environment
  • A mindset of continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills and high attention to detail

In this role, you’ll discover:

Great people... and a company that cares
From your teammates in operations, to colleagues and partners across Veolia, you’ll find people who care about doing a good job. And you’ll belong in a company that truly cares - about the customer, the community, the environment... and you.

‘Team’ works here - it’s who we are
Reporting to the National HR Manager - Waste, you’ll work closely with a small team, as well as various suppliers and contractors. And you’ll learn from them, as much as they learn from you.

Stimulation and challenge, delivered
While “People & Safety” is about process and rhythm, you’ll find plenty of variety in your role. In addition to your regular tasks, you’ll play a key role in improving our internal processes and deliver value to our business stakeholders.

Opportunity and growth, there for the taking
In this role, you’ll be trained across a number of concrete skills for the job at hand. Many of our Business Partners have continued to progress their career with us, moving into management roles.
