About the opportunity

We have opportunities for Diploma qualified Early Learning Educators to join our pool of casual staff at the Scots Early Learning Centre at Melville St Hobart. Your role will be to:

  • Plan, implement, assess and review a quality and diverse educational program, based on an approved curriculum framework
  • Support the promotion of children’s agency, choice and influence so the program meets interests and abilities of each child
  • In collaboration with other teachers/leaders document and participate in analyzing children’s learning in line with the approved curriculum framework
  • Provide a safe and stimulating physical environment where all children are protected from harm or hazards
  • Develop and maintain respectful, supportive, collaborative and responsive relationships with children and their families

You will join a warm team of professional educators who are advocates for children's rights to learn and respect as citizens.

About you

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Education, or equivalent as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority)
  • Appropriate training as prescribed in the Education Care Services National Regulations, including first aid, anaphylaxis management and emergency asthma management
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of early childhood learning and development
  • Sound administration skills to support the success of the team
  • Demonstrated success in working in a collaborative team environment where cooperation, flexibility and competence work towards achieving a high quality service.
  • Ability to create stakeholder networks that support and contribute towards the ongoing success of the service.
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People check for paid employment
