Fixed Term - 2 Year appointment

Duties

The Wellbeing Support Officer will work as part of the People Support team reporting to the Assistant Director, Wellbeing Support and will be responsible for providing:

  • A point of contact and support for emergency service workers (including volunteers) and employees experiencing levels of distress or difficulty.
  • Support and facilitate access to appropriate psychological and other specialist support services for emergency service workers (including volunteers) and employees.
  • A point of contact and support for family members experiencing levels of distress, difficulty or relationship issues attributed to emergency service work.
  • Support and facilitate access to appropriate psychological and other specialist support services to family members as appropriate, and
  • Raise awareness of wellbeing services available to all staff, promote and deliver healthy lifestyle and awareness campaigns or programs that aim to build resilience, self-management, and positive mental health in the workforce
Essential Requirements

A current driver licence.

Desirable Requirements

Applicants who have completed Mental Health First Aid Training, Connecting with People or other mental health/wellbeing training will be viewed favourably.
