$56,598 - $58,380 p.a. + 12.5% super & 9-day fortnight.

Applications are invited for the position of Weeds Officer with Council’s Natural Areas and Biodiversity Unit.

This position is responsible for undertaking weed control in natural areas, reserves, parks and on roadsides.

Experience in weed control techniques is essential including spraying herbicide using vehicle mounted pressurised applicators and backpack units, cut and paint and drill and fill.

The role also requires a sound knowledge of environmental and noxious weeds and native vegetation species. Competent computer skills, including the use of GIS and field data collection applications, are also essential.

The salary range is commencement salary is in the range of $56,598 to $58,380 per annum, plus 12.5% employer superannuation and a 9-day fortnight.
