Provide strategic direction and high level policy advice in relation to Crown‑owned office accommodation matters, major office accommodation leases, and the sale of surplus Crown property. Manage the strategic development of Crown property, including oversight of desired outcomes for key commercial re‑development projects and the Government’s contractual responsibilities, supported by a team of technical specialists.

In addition, the position provides management oversight for internal corporate responsibilities related to facilities, emergency management and security on a state wide basis.

The role leads the human, physical and financial resources of the Property Branch, and provides high level input to the development and implementation of the corporate objectives of the Department of Treasury and Finance and the strategic objectives of the Government.

In the context of the selection criteria, to be successful in the position applicants will have:

  • demonstrated ability to operate with considerable autonomy in effectively managing significant resources, projects and contracts in the delivery of complex accommodation management, property development and divestments;
  • relevant skills in leading large scale change programs with community impact including stakeholder engagement at the highest levels; and
  • well-developed negotiation, problem solving and mediation skills in order to resolve operational, technical and managerial problems in relation to complex programs/projects with a whole-of-service impact.
