Job Description

Applications are now open for skilled Production Operators at our client's high quality aquatic feed factory located in Westbury, Tasmania.

This is a challenging and fast paced environment where you will be responsible for several different tasks. Applications are competitive and based on previous skill and experience. As a Production Operator, you will play an integral role in ensuring all processes and activities are undertaken efficiently, safely and performed with a high attention to detail.

Within this role you will be managing manufactured products, ensuring all feed is correctly and efficiently packed and labelled where corrective and preventative measures are implemented. Within this role you will also be required to operate a forklift and you will be doing basic testing and record keeping of products.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Forklift operation
Packing and labelling of product
Product testing
Record keeping
Storage allocations

Your Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience with a range of labouring duties, with previous work experience in a factory environment highly regarded. You will need to be proactive and a keen team player, who is flexible, physically fit, reliable and has a 'can do' attitude.

To be considered for the role, it's important you can address the following criteria:

Have a valid Australian forklift licence
Previous experience working in a factory environment
Professional references to support the above
Be flexible with requested tasks
Willing to work alternate hours if required (day and afternoon shifts)
Committed to the entire season (approx. six months)
Have a strong level of English
Own transport
