Your Opportunity

Disability Management Services (DMS) assists job seekers with disability, injury or a health condition, assistance in finding a job and support keeping a job. Disability Employment Services(DES) assists Job seekers who have an injury, disability or health condition find sustainable employment. DES DMS can provide job seekers with ongoing in work support assistance, training for new skills and access to a range of other support services including wage subsidies & financial assistance to help cover costs such as modifying the workplace or purchasing adaptive technologies or interpreting services.

Be a part of a small knit team that provides a tailored approach for its job seekers in job search, plus ongoing support and builds successful relationships with employers and their local community.

Your key responsibilities will be:
Develop, engage and/or maintain links with associated and relevant stakeholders
Participate in meetings, policy and organisational development activities as required.
Document job seeker participation to ensure they are meeting their Mutual Obligation requirements and follow up with compliance action if required.
Monitor job seeker engagement to ensure that all job seekers have minimum monthly contact, and document job seeker’s engagement and participation.
Review Job Plans on a regular basis to ensure that activities and job search requirements are appropriately.
Provide mentoring support and direction to ensure sustainable employment for the job seeker achievement and sustained.
Refer and place job seekers into sustainable employment, and liaise effectively with employers
Work with Employers and industry to understand their businesses and staffing needs
Adequate and timely documentation of job seeker and employer contact.
Complete required record collection to support claims (claim evidence).
Perform relevant administrative tasks as required by Job Services Australia and Mission Australia policies.

Requirements for Success

High level of verbal, written and listening communication skills are required including interviewing, assessment and planning skills.
Display professionalism in all internal and external communications and transactions.
Ability to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds in an empathetic manner
Well-organised approach to providing employment services.
Coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and productively, couple with Good Information Technology and administration skills.
Superior self-management skills, including record keeping and performance analysis
Develop, engage and/or maintain links with associated and relevant support agencies, mental health providers and other key stakeholders involved parties.
Experience working in an Employment Service setting or similar such as recruitment would be highly desirable but not essential, however exposure and experience with proven ability of working in a contractually compliant environment highly regarded.
Proven record of accomplishment of achieving KPIs and deadlines.
Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office packages and other operating systems.
Current drivers licence.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
