What is the role?

As the Activity Centre Coordinator, you will empower our clients in a social environment that promotes the psychological, social and physical well-being of our clients. You will be responsible to provide high quality care, support and coordination through activities that meet the individual needs of the client. The team will thrive on your passion for delivering a high standard of customer service as well as the planning, preparing and delivering a range of social and recreational activities for both individuals and groups attending the activity centre.

Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship-builder, skilled in facilitating collaboration between clients and teams. The right individual will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, lots of initiative and proactive strategic thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills are also critical, as the Activity Centre Coordinator provides leadership and coordination of the centre. The role is permanent part time, 3 days per week.

The successful applicant will have:
A 'can do' attitude
Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification. Completion of the subject "assist with medication" highly desirable.
Experience supervising staff and volunteers
Able to create a supportive and empowering environment for customers and carers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven skills in supervising individual and group activities
Strong level of computer literacy
Experience in providing personal care
Current First Aid and CPR certificate
Comprehensively insured vehicle and current drivers licence
Working with vulnerable persons check
Ideally a Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or willingness to obtain
