We are currently recruiting for an experienced operations candidate to fill the role of Tasmanian Quarries Manager. The role will be based at our Hobart Quarry. Reporting to the Area Manager - Tasmania, this role is a multi-faceted role responsible for the quarry operations overseeing the daily management, health & safety, operational and financial activities of Hobart, Launceston, and Calder Quarries.

In your new role, you will be:
Managing the day-to-day operations and making decisions that impact the overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting and managing costs within budget.

Responsible for the pit development, customer & community relations, drill & blast, crushing & screening, stockpiling, load out, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.

Responsible for tipper fleet based at Quarry. Understand Chain of Responsibility requirements.

This role is a great fit for you, if:
Have a minimum 5 years Quarry experience

Have experience managing a load & haul quarry or mining operations, and crushing contractors

Experience with P&L and month end reporting will be advantageous

You are results focused, self-motivated and have a total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm

You have a passion for delivering remarkable customer service and great results

You are a team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure

You have a positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

You are a natural problem solver and enjoy planning

You hold a Diploma in Surface Operation Management
