About the role:
Uniting AgeWell provides a new approach to independence and choice in a range of aged care services through focusing on the strengths, goals and aspirations of each individual.

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant with allied health experience to join our client care team to assist the therapists to implement innovative allied health programs.

The ideal candidate must be suitably qualified or have demonstrated experience in providing assistance with rehabilitation services to older people. Effective communication skills are required, particularly when dealing with people with dementia, stroke victims or other disabilities.

About you:
You are passionate about what you do and want to make a difference in the lives of our residents/clients, to support them to live life to their full potential.

This is the place for you if you have:
A Certificate IV in a relevant Allied Health related discipline
Demonstrated experience or qualifications in providing assistance with rehabilitation services to older people
Experience with document processes relating to therapy rehabilitation programs
Knowledge and experience in quality systems and risk management in the Aged Care or Health sector(s)
Availability to increase your hours - pick up extra shifts when they are available (remove if not relevant)
A commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)
Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
A willingness to work within the ethos of the Uniting Church

You will need:
A current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (TAS) (or willing to obtain one)
Full Australian working rights and a current police records check (or be willing to undertake this process)
A current flu vaccination and be prepared to meet this annual requirement
