Fixed term part-time day work (45.6 hours per fortnight) commencing ASAP for a period of 24 months.

Location:

Public Health Services - Statewide (Hobart, Launceston or Burnie)

Duties:

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of evidence informed policy, systems and services through collaboration, research, planning and evaluation across the Agency, government, and community sectors.
  • Provide high level advice to Public Health Services and other areas of the Agency, State government and community sectors about issues relating to population health approaches to improving physical activity and reducing sedentary behaviour.
  • Promote, coordinate, manage and support strategic initiatives relevant to a systems approach to improving physical activity and reducing sedentary behaviour.
  • Disseminate, promote, and contribute to new knowledge about improving physical activity and reducing sedentary behaviour in populations.
  • Establish and maintain links and collaborative partnerships across State, local and Commonwealth governments, community sectors and key stakeholders in health and human services.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in physical activity and disease prevention.
