Liberty Bell Bay is Australia's only ferro-alloy producer, operating four arc furnaces and a Sinter Plant to produce high-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese and sinter.
About Bell BayThis role will be based at Bell Bay, 50km north of Launceston. Tasmania offers a unique lifestyle choice with short commute times, easy access to a wide range of leisure activities, affordable housing, well-regarded schools, a vibrant cultural and sporting scene and welcoming communities.

About the roleAs an Electrical Engineer, you will be a part of the Capital Projects team to provide electrical and control engineering support for allocated projects within Liberty Bell Bay. These are crucial projects designed to support our growth plans in Bell Bay.

You will be responsible for:

Execution of defined feasibility studies, cost-benefits analyses, impact assessments and business cases to define projects for approval
Managing the planning, safe execution and commissioning of approved projects to agreed scope, budget, schedule, quality and relevant standards and specifications
Leading role in the development and reporting of the projects portfolio, budgets, plans and schedules
Providing Electrical Engineering support to Operations to improve reliability of plant and equipment, maintain asset integrity and resolve operational issues and problems

About your experienceYou are a results focused individual with strong project management skills. With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and supervisors.

You will also have:

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering experience in heavy industry, smelting or refinery environment
High voltage systems experience
Experience in low voltage distribution and control systems, PLC and SCADA programming
Well-practiced understanding of the key elements of project management
Proven project management experience in the delivery of small to medium projects
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate and interact with a wide variety of people and build credibility
