The successful candidates will have an ability to take instruction, develop technical skills, apply knowledge and work cooperatively as part of a team along with the capability to adhere to safety procedures when working within a high risk environment.

The Information Technology Service Desk Trainees provide high quality, enthusiastic first level customer service support to council’s staff in the context of information technology service provision.

The successful candidates will have a genuine interest in information technology, a commitment to learning and development, good interpersonal skills and a reasonable level of computer literacy in a basic range of common office environment software packages and/or hardware with the potential to develop those skills. Capability to work within a team and autonomously, along with good attention to detail and adaptability to changing priorities are needed.
