Your Opportunity

Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) works with children aged birth - 7 years by supporting families to help their children develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities and achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their life.

ECEI partners are the first point of contact for parents concerned that their child may have developmental delay or disability, and they can access short- to medium-term support without necessarily becoming an NDIS participant.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
Comply with core responsibilities set out in the MA Child & Youth Safe policies, procedures and supporting documents to practice as required by the role
Build capacity of children, families and carers to identify their goals, strengths and needs, and plan for their future
Proactively raise concerns about any issues that affect the safety and wellbeing of children and young people engaging with MA services
Actively support positive partnerships between children, families and carers, local organisations and the broader community to build a more inclusive community
Commit to the needs of children and vulnerable people with a disability from a culturally or linguistically diverse background
On-going person centred planning as a result of an individualised profile prior to the referral to services
Complete a range of internal and external reports as required

Requirements for Success

Experience working in a similar position
Qualification in working in Early Childhood and/or Disability Sector; (at a Minimum Cert III or alike)
Comprehensive understanding of the Disability, Child, Youth and Family Services sector, including Child Protection, the requirements of the Disability Services Act 2011, and the Children, Young Persons and their Families Act 1997, National Disability Insurance Scheme, personalisation, Human Rights and Citizenship for people with a disability;
Excellent written and oral communication with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with all people and establish effect relationships
Team Building and Time Management Skills
Experience for working with ATSI and CALD Community

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
