The Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise which operates Tasmania's personal injury motor accident insurance scheme. The scheme provides no fault/statutory benefits, rehabilitation and lifetime support, and management of compensation through common law for people who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents.

We currently have two positions available due to internal development opportunities of staff. A full time permanent position and an 18 month contract position, both in the Claims Department.

Claims Officers work within a tight-knit team that keep the client at the heart of everything they do. We are looking for a person who has the capacity to acquire and maintain knowledge, is comfortable in a complex, process driven environment focussed on what matters most to clients to achieve outcomes.

The person we are looking for will possess:
Highly developed communication and client service skills
Proven capacity to make great decisions and apply judgement, initiative and discretion
Capacity to actively participate within workplace teams
Capacity to organise and complete tasks and deliver outcomes
Ability to work autonomously, set priorities and manage a variable workload
