Liberty Bell Bay is Australia's only ferro-alloy producer, operating four arc furnaces and a Sinter Plant to produce high-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese and sinter.
About Bell BayThis role will be based at Bell Bay, 50km north of Launceston. About the roleWe are looking for an Electrical Engineer to deliver outstanding Engineering outcomes to the Operations in accordance with relevant processes, standards and performance targets. You will be responsible for applying and maintaining the systems and tools required for the basis of design for plant and equipment. This includes technical change management, plant and equipment integrity, maintenance management systems and plant engineering support.

You will be responsible for:

Defining and maintaining the technical blueprint for plant and equipment including the approval and governance of the associated change management process
Defining and maintaining the basis of design for plant and equipment
Execute maintenance management system changes and ensures all equipment maintenance requirements are implemented for new capital equipment
Provide electrical engineering technical support to Operations to improve reliability of plant and equipment, maintain asset integrity, resolve operational issues / problems and support investigations.

About your experienceYou are a results focused individual with a strong focus on safety and quality, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both peers and supervisors.

You will also have:

Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering experience in heavy industry, smelting or refinery environment
Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management standard is desirable
High voltage systems experience
Experience in low voltage distribution and control systems, PLC and SCADA programming
Understanding of arc flash risk and safe operation and testing of electrical plant and equipment
Sound analytical and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate and interact with a wide variety of people and build credibility.
