The role:
The Area Manager - Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST) is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating regional service delivery for OHST. The role will:

Ensure the effective and efficient provision of a wide variety of professional oral health services and programs.
Provide high-level advice and local analysis to the Group Manager - OHST regarding policy directions and service development within OHST.
Represent OHST with various regional reference groups, forums and committees and provide advice relating to policy and service development to OHST senior management.
Work to achieve agreed regional financial and service delivery performance targets and contribute to OHST’s ongoing policy and strategic agendas.
Be responsible for managing the human, financial and physical resources allocated within OHST to the assigned region.

The Area:
Oral Health Services Tasmania provides dental services to eligible Tasmanians including adults who are holders of a current health care card or pensioner concession card. The children’s dental service is a universal service for all Tasmanians aged 0-17 years.

The service operates from over 30 sites across Tasmania including major centres in Burnie, Devonport, Launceston, Clarence, Glenorchy and Hobart, one and two surgery clinics in urban and rural community health centres and district hospitals and at a number of public school sites, three special care dental units located in the major hospitals, two mobile dental units that service rural areas and three school-based dental vans.

Details of Appointment:
Permanent Full Time, Day-Worker position working 76 hours per fortnight.

This role is based at the Northern Dental Centre, Launceston

Salary: $113,010 - $118,998 per annum + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

The Salary Range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019.
