Your new company
Hays Hobart are proud to be partnering with a well-established aquaculture business who specialise in deep sea fishing operations. T hey have the need for an experienced HR/Payroll Co-ordinator to join their team on a permanent basis, with a minimum of 25 hours per week to full time with an immediate start for the right candidate.

Your new role
As the HR/Payroll Co-ordinator your core responsibility will be to provide support for; - All compliance and immigration related issues, keep abreast of changes in regulations and guidelines and ensure proper ownership and accounting for compliance - Complete and maintain all payroll related activities; maintain employee records, and establishing and documenting best practices for all contract and permanent based staff in New Zealand and Australia. The purpose of the role is to provide sound staffing and personnel administration support of the company’s operational activities and policies and programs.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you’ll have demonstrated experience in similar HR/payroll positions, excellent communication skills (Both written and verbal), and a proven track record working in a varied busy environment where you have developed the ability to work well under pressure. You’ll also have the following;

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Word.
  • Proactive nature, with high level of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to change and prioritise competing demands
  • Friendly, can do attitude where you are happy to complete any task need to get the job done.
  • Be a team player but also have the ability to work independently
  • Previous experience with Tech 1 or Finance 1 will be highly regarded
