Tasmanian Health Service is seeking experienced applicants for the role of Speech Pathologist to work at the Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe, TAS
The Mersey Community Hospital, Latrobe has 95 beds and offers general and specialist health services including rehabilitation and oncology services. The hospital has close ties with the University of Tasmania through the Rural Clinical School and with TAFE Tasmania thus providing opportunities for comprehensive clinical training programs.
Details of Appointment
1 x Part Time Fixed Term Day Worker position working 30.4 hours per fortnight until November 2021
Salary: $62,601 - $74,785 pro rata per annum + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Please note: subsequent appointments may be made from this process and notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
The role reports to the Manager - Speech Pathology Services and work close with the Senior Speech pathologist to undertake assessment, diagnosis and treatment to inpatients and outpatients with communication and swallowing disorders

Essential Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Applied Science, Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Check
- Pre-employment checks as outlined in the Statement of Duties
Desirable Requirements:
- Current Driver’s Licence
