King Island District Hospital is seeking experienced applicants for the role of Casual Community Registered Nurses.
King Island is in the Bass Strait between Victoria and northwest coast of Tasmania, and is well-known for world class cheese, fresh seafood, very clean air, and incredible surfing and golf. Currie is King Island's largest town and administrative centre. Located on the west coast, there is a scenic harbor and fascinating history of shipwrecks and discovery that make it an interesting place for anyone. Area 1,098 square km and the population is approximately 1600 people.
King Island Hospital & Health Centre has five rural inpatient beds including a palliative care suite, two emergency rooms, outpatients & consulting rooms, 14 permanent residential aged care beds providing high, low and respite care. The Community Health team are based within the hospital and work as part of the multidisciplinary team supporting community members.
Details of Appointment
Multiple casual Day Worker positions working on an as and when required basis for 12 months
Salary: $66,421 - $91,807 pro rata per annum + 9.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Please note: subsequent appointments may be made from this process and notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Essential Requirements
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Driver's licence
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Check
- Pre-employment checks as outlined in the Statement of Duties
* as required by CHSP, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
