Any Industry
Source: uWorkin

Tourism Tasmania is embarking on an exciting digital transformation program that will deliver a new digital experience for our visitors. We are finalising our future state requirements and need an experienced and energetic Product Owner to play a leading role in delivering the future state vision through designing digital experiences that champion the customer while balancing business benefits and considering people and process needs.

Central to the digital experience is the re-design and development of the consumer website, the linchpin for a new omni-channel customer experience.

This is a fixed-term role focussed on strategic development and implementation, and the successful transition of the platforms for digital experience management to the established Tourism Tasmania team will be a critical marker for project success.

Period of Appointment

This appointment will be full time for a two year fixed term period.

What you will be responsible for:

  • You will drive the implementation of our digital customer experience, striking the right strategic balance to deliver a solution which is distinctly Tasmanian, builds meaningful connections with users and delivers the most economic, social and cultural value for our tourism industry and local community.
  • You will champion the customer, taking an omni channel approach to build experiences that nurture relationships and drive action.
  • You will oversee and coordinate all marketing elements required for the re-development of Tourism Tasmania’s consumer-facing website, including agency management and content design and delivery.

    • You will work closely with stakeholders, and the operational and development team to build and execute the product vision
    • Identify, size and translate digital features into prioritised business requirements to meet customer and business needs and actionable work for the development team
    • Support the change management team to develop new process and ensure a smooth transition and adoption of new solutions and to grow digital capabilities across the business.
    • Utilise customer insights, testing and experimentation to drive greater customer and business outcomes.
    • Work with the platform owner to connect the digital experience design and implementation with the broader marketing program including media and conversion partners and develop the consumer data strategy, establish key metrics and user path mapping.
    • Champion and clearly articulate the project vision across the business and to key stakeholders to build understanding and alignment.
    • Oversee external supplier deliverables as needed, including external creative, media and research agencies.
