Media Resources Officer

The Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre (WDREC) is unique in Australia as an integrated dementia centre that is active across a range of disciplines, seeking to improve the lives of people with dementia and their carers.

Full time, fixed-term position for a period of 12 months
Based in Hobart
Showcase your photography and videography skills

The Opportunity

Provide advice and expertise in the production and delivery of a range of media for the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre’s online education programs.

Key Accountabilities:
Enhance the quality of teaching, research and public relation/marketing materials through the production of high quality photography, video footage and graphics.
Provide advice on presentation formats for a range of content including still images and video footage.
Promote excellent quality output by liaising and directing presenters and speakers in terms of content delivery.
Identify and implement best practices to create high quality content.
Manage filming and production schedules for a range of online learning programs to ensure quality and contemporary content.

Your Application

To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate;

Completion of a degree or diploma level qualification in graphic art, photography, multi-media, videography or similar, with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
High level photography and videography skills, including post production editing.
Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with and provide direction and advice to presenters in order to maximise quality of outputs.


Appointment to this role will be at HEO 5 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $84,907 comprising base salary within the range of $69,433 to $77,541 plus 9.5% superannuation.
