Exciting Payroll Manager role with a well known Tasmanian Aquaculture business.

Your New Company
Hays Accounting and Finance have partnered with a Tasmanian Employer in the FMCG industry in their search for their next Payroll Manager. They produces around 36,000 tonnes of fresh Atlantic salmon and ocean trout annually and is recognised globally as being a premium producer of fresh and smoked salmon products.

Your New Role
This company looking for an exceptional Payroll Manager to lead the team responsible for the payroll function in this national role. Reporting to the Group Manager People & Culture the primary objective of the position is to oversee the day to day running of the team whilst enhancing and transforming the everyday employee payroll experience. Not only ensuring the fortnightly pays are managed smoothly and efficiently but also mentoring leaders across the business by developing and utilising analytics to make informed decisions.

Key work areas:
Oversee the end-to-end processing of the fortnightly payroll of 750+ nationally based employees.
Lead, manage and mentor the payroll team.
Establish, develop and nurture positive and collaborative relationships across all areas of the business.
Responsible for the HRIS system including support, maintenance, system upgrades, system training and communication, and liaising with end users to ensure high utilisation.
Provide management with payroll related reports and analysis as required as well as develop and introduce automated reporting.
Develop and design payroll reporting and HR Analytics.

What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 5 years' experience in a HRIS/Payroll management role including leadership experience of direct reports.
Ability to interpret and understand enterprise agreements, policies and procedures.
A mature, collaborative, and team-orientated personality.
Demonstrated experience in Frontier Payroll, RITEQ.
Confidence in managing and developing teams.
Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to deal with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
