We are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to join our exceptional pool team. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced learn to swim teacher who will provide quality teaching to our clients as well as perform general administrative duties.
Remuneration is in accordance with Level 5 of the Fitness Industry Award ($26.56 per hour).
About St Michael's Collegiate Pool
Forming part of the St Michael's Collegiate Anglican day and boarding school for girls, the newly renovated Collegiate Pool is a 25m, six-lane, heated indoor pool located on the corner of Molle & Davey Street in the city of Hobart, Tasmania.
The Collegiate Pool is open to the public and offers a safe, clean and friendly environment to swim. The Pool is open seven day's per week offering:
- Learn to Swim
- Lap Swimming
- Fitness
- Squad training options
Our professional teachers provide quality service and are passionate about assisting individual's to improve their health, fitness and life skills.

Essential Criteria
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Austswim and /or ASCTA
- Pool Lifeguard / First Aid
- valid Registration to Work with Vulnerable Persons (RWVP
- current National Police Check

Conditions of Employment
The successful applicant will be subject to a Working With Vulnerable Persons Check and Criminal History Records Check where applicable.
Our organisation undertakes several screening processes to ensure the appropriate protection of children in its care. This includes reference checks, qualification checks and professional registration checks.
It is conditional of employment that the successful applicant :
- Hold a current Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable Persons check (RWVP)
- Gain a satisfactory National Police clearance (within 3 months of issue)
- Be authorised to work in Australia
- Be prepared to undertake mandatory child safety training
