About the role:

Want to kick start your career in IT? Want to earn while you learn? Work for one of Tasmania’s largest employers, Tassal! Based in Hobart and with the support of our IT team, you’ll have hands-on exposure to all things IT whilst undertaking a Certificate III in ICT. If successful in this role, you will be supporting our app development team in assisting in the development of apps for the business. While doing all of this, you will be part of an awesome, fast paced team who are purposefully and successfully driving our people towards a better tomorrow. Some of the duties will include, but will not be limited to;

  • Software support of Tassal’s business applications;
  • Working with our team to develop various new and existing products and projects;
  • Learning about low code systems to build apps that solve business issues;
  • Developing an understanding of APIs and systems integration to support custom business apps;
  • Developing an understanding of data visualisation and reporting tools;
  • Developing a skillset in traditional software development; and
  • Assisting your broader team members when required.

About you:

We are after an enthusiastic person who has a ‘can do’ attitude, who will embrace the opportunities this exciting IT Trainee position can bring. This job is for you if you are passionate about IT and have used the below systems in your personal life or as a hobby. A basic understanding of the following if preferred but not essential;
