About the role
Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager at Lenah Valley, the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Neurosurgery is responsible for providing leadership to the theatre nursing team and to support the Theatre Coordinators in ensuring the smooth running of the unit.
A key focus of the role will be to ensure the appropriate direction of the Theatre suite through long and short term goal planning in collaboration with the Perioperative Services Manager, and working closely with the team to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
This is a permanent full or part time (0.8 FTE) opportunity for a suitably qualified RN.
What you bring

AHPRA registered with a current practising certificate
- Proven skills and knowledge in the scrub/scout role in the specialty area of Neurosurgery
- Demonstrated understanding of risk management processes and systems and their relationship to safe quality patient care and organisational outcomes
- Demonstrated day to day management, organisational and leadership skills
- Relevant Post Grad qualifications in or willingness to undertake qualification
- Proven high degree of communication skills, written and verbal
- Proven team building skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy
