As a Customer Service Officer, you will be working on a full-time basis in our Hobart office, reporting to the Customer Service & Operations Manager. In this position, you will specialise in servicing our retail sales channel and provide support to all Customer Service & Operations team members as required. Key duties could include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all retail customer service enquiries and orders for fresh and value-added product are attended to in accordance with company expectations.
  • Liaise with customers and factory staff if orders do not meet minimum requirements, delivery timeframes, or there are product/supply issues.
  • Follow up on any logistics issues relating to retail channel orders.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders to ensure all day-to-day tasks are completed.
  • Provide support and back up to all areas of Customer Service & Operations as required including Wholesale & Foodservice, Export, Online, Staff, Public Enquiries, Claims, Pricing, Harvest Planning, Logistics.


As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced Customer Service Officer specialising in servicing major retail partners, who can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work well under pressure, balancing competing demands.
  • Adaptability and initiative.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work co-operatively in a team environment.
  • Sound computer skills, including Excel.
  • Ability to build good relationships with customers.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with all company related material and information.

It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
