Quality Control Officer: 12 hours per week (Hours will be spread over Tues, Wed and one weekend day per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Officer to join our team. This role will be 12 hours a week and will require some weekend work as we are a 7 day business.
This role is positioned in our Fruit & Veg team and is responsible to help deliver on our quality assurance activities at our Launceston Distribution Centre which services our stores. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Distribution Centre, Buying and store teams. Our aim is to bring to life the values of the FreshFood People, by continually improving the quality of fruit and vegetables for stores and customers.

What you will be responsible for:
  • To monitor and assess Fruit & Veg lines delivered to the distribution center.
  • To validate the compliance with product quality and labeling specifications set by the Woolworths quality assurance team and Government Legislation
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Buying Team to ensure we are delivering the best quality offer for store operations to enhance customer experience
  • Reporting to Senior Quality Control Officer and working alongside the buying teams to deliver safe, quality products in line with Woolworth's specifications and company KPI’s
  • Bring to life flexibility and drive productivity
  • Foster an environment focused on delivering a great team experience
  • Assists the Fruit and Veg leadership team with key metrics and Ways of Working, provide valuable and constructive feedback for the purposes of recognition and development opportunities
