Full time permanent Administration Assistant role with a well know engineering business.

Your new company
Our client is a boutique consulting company based in the Hobart CBD who are now seeking an experienced Project Administrator to join their team. Having successfully tendered for a variety of civil projects and continuous growth, they are wanting to mould the administrator to get more involved in the projects/operations side.

Your new role
Working directly with the Operations & Key Account Manager, you'll be responsible for key business activities which will ensure that internal stakeholders are supported in their administration requirements, and the business delivers quality results for its clients. Responsibilities and duties will include;

  • Fielding all incoming telephone calls.
  • Administration of all AR processes including invoicing and debt recovery.
  • Job file management, including the implementation of a digital platform.
  • Supports Operations & Key Account Manager in their duties including the implementation of company procedures including new software platforms.
  • Ad-hoc business administration including maintenance tasks on SEO digital campaign to help ensure consistent web-based exposure and leads.
  • Inbox management for personal, generic, and senior team members emails.
  • Primary administration and billing contact for non-key client liaising with technical team for quoting and workflow purposes where required.
  • Order stationery and office supplies.

What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate you will possess the following;

  • Business Administration Certificate or higher and/ or 3+ years with relevant experience.
  • Ability to comprehend new software, systems, and processes quickly. Experience in Xero and WorkFlowMax would be advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret and relay technical information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An upbeat, can-do attitude who is professional under pressure.
  • Able to adapt and reprioritise own tasks according to current level of incoming work.
  • Knowledge of Building or Engineering industry as well as experience in Account Management or customer service would be advantageous .
