About this opportunity
Wellways operate National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Supported Independent Living (SIL) and iCare services in many states across Australia. The Team Leader role is a rewarding opportunity where you will provide direct line management, support and leadership to frontline employees, that are Support Workers in the New Norfolk and Sorrell services. You will be responsible to ensure that quality services that align with Wellways values and practise principles are offered to our participants. In addition, the Team Leader is responsible for the end to end staffing processes such as recruitment of Support Workers, this includes onboarding, training, debriefing, supervision, mentoring, managing staffing lists and exiting outgoing employees.
You will provide quarterly training and group supervision for Support Workers and be the first point of contact for day to day staff enquiries, feedback, issues, and verbal complaints. The Team Leader participates in the roster of care for participants as required at the services.
Skills & experience:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability or Individual Support
- Experience as a Team Leader desirable
- Medication Training - Tasmanian Modules and First Aid Training
- Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills
Pre-employment compliance requirements:
- Right to work in Australia
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check, Working with Children's Check, NDIS Worker Screening and NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Orientation Module: https://www.ndiscommission.gov.au/workers/support-for-workers/training-course are mandatory prior to commencement
