Are you looking to commence your Fitting & Turning/ Maintenance Fitter Apprenticeship?
We have an exciting opportunity for a 1st year Fitting & Turning/ Maintenance Fitter Apprentice to work with our client who is one of Australasia's leading packaging and paper companies. Based in Launceston, we are looking for a motivated, committed and reliable person who is wanting to gain practical on the job experience, whilst receiving extensive training and a Certificate III Engineering-Mechanical Trade
What will you be doing?
- Preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance to achieve optimal operational requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices.
- Attending breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner
- Plant and machine upgrades
- Modification work as well as general facility maintenance
- Able to Understand Technical Drawings
- Mechanical Fitting
- Welding (ARC ,Mig,Oxy & Acetylene Cutting)
- Work as a team member
- Machining parts
- Maintain a clean workplace.
What do you need for this role?
- Someone who is a team player, trustworthy and great work ethic
- A quick learner
- Computer skills
- Practical trade skills and/or relevant pre-apprenticeship
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
