Salary

$92,321 to $97,577 pro-rata per annum

in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service Agreement) 2019

Period of Employment

Fixed term, part time, day work, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 24 February 2022.

Location

Anaesthetic Services - Royal Hobart Hospital

Duties

In collaboration with the Research Nurse - Clinical Trials Facilitator, assist with the delivery and coordination of Department of Anaesthesia & Perioperative Medicine (DAPM) research projects that contribute to the strategic objectives of the Department, utilising highly developed understanding of clinical research.

Facilitate and engage in robust research activities that contribute to DAPM policy or projects.

Establish and maintain consultative links internally within the Department and with the community, industry representatives and other specialties to facilitate collaborative research efforts for the achievement of strategic objectives.

Support committees (or other groups) associated with the functions of the research division of the DAPM.

Essential Requirements

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
a) Crimes of Violence
b) Sex Related Offences
c) Serious Drug Offences
d) Crimes involving dishonesty
2. Identification check
3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check

Desirable Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Completion of Good Clinical Practice Training.
