About the Position

This critical role supports essential services in improvements to health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The focus of this role will be to coordinate the delivery of quality, innovative regional based training programs for GP’s that meet the health needs for all Australians.

About the Role

  • Experience working with both internal stakeholders including (CEO, Regional Managers, GPs, practice staff, and directors of clinical services, and report to the Director of Education and Training
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of initiatives and activities that support cultural safety in a health setting
  • Meet target KPI’s as set by the public health department
  • Manages finances, grant funding, and grant submissions
  • Experience working with external stakeholders including (Department of Health, medical board, Local hospital network, area health services, not for profit’s, allied health etc.)
  • Training and developing staff at several levels -ability to work autonomously and in a group when required
  • Excellent human relations skills including team building and collaboration with other areas of the business and externally with clients- creating and maintaining long standing relationships
  • Maintaining compliance and formulate a timely submission commonwealth department of Health within grant parameters
  • Knowledge of the General Practice industry – familiarity with how it runs
  • Comfortable with the Office suite

Soft Skills Required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including report writing, tender writing, and negotiation skills
  • Strong emotional and social intelligence
  • Experience in project management, project coordination, operating as a strong project liason with stakeholders, strong organisational, and time management skills
  • Dedication to quality and strong sense of integrity
