We are seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Senior Customer Service Officer vacancy.

Period of Employment

Permanent Day Worker, working 15.2 hours per fortnight

  • Please note that subsequent appointments may be made from this process.


This role is based in the North West.


  • The role includes the supervision, training and guiding of customer service staff and the coordinating of clerical resources within designated Oral Health Services Tasmania (OHST) Dental Centres to ensure a high standard of customer service to OHST clients.
  • Provide systems support for OHST’s Titanium client database system including call logging, fault reporting and performance measures.
  • Undertake projects and activities including training, issue identification, documentation, change management, testing and problem resolution.
  • Assist data owners to develop and maintain an auditing schedule to ensure the integrity of data being entered into the system.
  • Maintain work practices relating to the processing of client co-payments, registration and treatment details and establish effective working relationship with various professional groups, ensuring quality administrative support standards are maintained by the Customer Service Team.
  • Provide input into OHST policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring these and other Agency and National policies, protocols and standards are met within the customer service work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to ensure that dental undergraduates and less experienced staff understand the processes of dental technical construction.

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

c) Serious Drug Offences

d) Crimes involving dishonesty

Desirable Requirements:

  • Current Driver’s Licence.
