Period of Employment

Permanent, full time, day work, working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible.

Please note that part time hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Duties

In collaboration with the Manager Outpatient Appointments and Theatre Booking Clerks, oversee, coordinate and supervise all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of administrative and clerical functions in designated outpatient and outreach clinics including, reception, billing and provision of training and support for Team Leaders and Outpatient Appointment scheduling staff.

Provide input, through operational analysis and recommendations, into administrative process improvements that support the management and integration of services into outpatient and remote outreach clinics.

Ensure the continuity and conformity of Outpatient Clinic standards and new administrative support services processes, by monitoring outcomes.

Develop, establish and maintain effective communication systems and collaborative relationships with stakeholders within THS to ensure the provision of timely flow of information and high-quality administrative services is provided by the administration team to the clinics.

Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence

b) Sex Related Offences

c) Serious Drug Offences

d) Crimes involving dishonesty

2. Identification check

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check
