We are delighted to be partnering with Jane Franklin hall to find their next superstar to join their dynamic team.

Jane Franklin Hall, known as "Jane" is the only independently - managed University residential co-educational college in Tasmania, providing tertiary students with accommodation and related services within a community environment.

As a Finance and Office Administrator you will be the face of the college. Reporting to the Principal, you will be responsible for greeting visitors to the college and providing professional customer care, financial and administrative support, whilst supporting the general wellbeing of students and their families.

Responsibilities include;

  • Provide reception duties, answering phones and deal with student enquires.
  • General administration duties including enrolments, database management and inventory control.
  • Processing of student fees, payments, receipts, and reconciliation.
  • Support the college accountants with preparation of balance sheets and budgets.
  • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of payroll and maintaining staff records.
  • Preparation of staff superannuation payments, reconciliation of annual leave and long service leave entitlements.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including students, parents, suppliers, and donors to the college.

We are looking for someone with the following key skills;

  • Confident and well organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Previous office administration and finance experience.
  • The ability to coordinate multiple administration tasks/processes with tight deadlines and limited supervision.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to support and implement change.
  • Well-developed system and technical skills and a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Initiative and a proactive approach to dealing with work priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to deal with a diverse environment with a broad demographic of stakeholders.
