Your new company

Your new company is an elite construction company based in Hobart.

Your new role

Your new role is based on the residential and commercial building sites where you will be working alongside several colleagues. A typically day will involve:

  • Tying steel and cages
  • Using hand tools to cut, bend and tie REO bars
  • Reading plans
  • All processes related to concrete pours
  • Meeting deadlines and specifications for concrete drying and curing parameters
  • Operating and maintaining concrete equipment
  • Effectively communicating with management, supervisors, and co-workers
What you'll need to succeed

You will have a strong work ethic, positive and proactive attitude and show reliability and consistency to work. As well as:
  • Your own steel fixing tools i.e. a steel fixing belt with reel, nips, pliers and general tools
  • Precast Yard or Building Construction experience
  • A White card
  • Ability to read plans
  • Supporting references
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Be willing to complete online documents necessary to become a Hays employee
  • A reasonable level of fitness in order to undertake a variety of tasks that may involve labouring duties

What you'll get in return

You will have the opportunity to work in a prestigious organisation with the potential of ongoing work. You will receive an above award rate, a 2% contribution into your Tasbuild fund and a 9.5% contribution to the superfund of your choice. You will work regular hours Monday to Friday typically from 07:00 to 15:30 and receive weekly pay.
