The Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation (RHHRF) was established in 1997 as an independent entity to raise funds which are then invested in a competitive grants program designed to support and promote local health and medical research.

If you are a confident professional Marketer, who is excited by building genuine corporate relationships through Events and other Fundraising opportunities, this could be your next role.
The Marketing & Events Coordinator has responsibility to:

  • Work with the CEO in developing and implementing an annual program that supports the Foundation's core marketing and events objectives, including conceptualisation and implementation of strategies associated with fundraising, events, profile and positioning
  • Undertake coordination of the Foundation's calendar of events, monitoring and evaluating these activities to ensure delivery against agreed objectives, including ROI
  • Identify, develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships in order to generate and support a program of activity that is both strategic and innovative, with particular emphasis upon establishment and growth of key partnerships across the corporate community
  • Leverage corporate relationships, new and existing, with a knowledge of the work and impact of the Foundation in order to implement and expand a workplace giving program

What you'll need to succeed:
This is a pivotal role in the organisation, to ensure all Marketing activities are undertaken to a very high standard, to also plan and implement the Annual Events Calendar and contribute to other fundraising activities. You'll need to be able to clearly demonstrate experience in these areas through your previous Marketing and Events work, including the following:

  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing an annual plan comprising a broad range of marketing, event and associated fundraising activities, based upon a sound understanding of contemporary theory and practice
  • Considerable experience in event management, demonstrating capacity to take strong initiative in driving a broad range of activities from concept development to delivery, through to review and evaluation
  • Proven experience in actively and strategically engaging stakeholders, with a view to developing and stewarding a range of corporate partnerships
  • Supporting the development and implementation of contemporary and emerging fundraising initiatives and campaigns
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide professional, sound and strategic representation on behalf of the Foundation to a broad array of supporters and stakeholders, exercising strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
