Job Description
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE! We have partnered with a local Harvest Trail Services provider to facilitate relocation assistance of $2,200 for visa holders and up to $6,000 for residents who meet the eligibility criteria.
We are seeking Farm Hands for our large scale Fruit picking operation in Forth, Tasmania. The role sees you responsible for hand picking, weeding and harvesting a range of different fruits and vegetables.

Your Skills :
You will need to have good communication skills, be able to follow direction and prove yourself as a team player. Good performers will have the opportunity for further work once berry seasons finished, please ensure you can prove the following:
• Picking – strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries
• picking experience (not essential)
• Physically fit and able to work extended hours and flexible shifts
• Committed to getting to work on time
• Not Allergic to wasps and bees
• Committed to the whole season
• Other duties as required

Work pattern:
• Typically 5 or 6 days a week, Monday to Sunday
• Hours per day can be up to 10 hours depending on the stage of the crop
• Picking crews typically have rolling days off to ensure everyone is able to stay energetic

Pay rate:
• Picking is paid under Piece Rate
• An average competent Picker has the opportunity to earn more than the base rate in the Horticulture Award

• Higher than the Horticultural Award wage rate (base hourly pay rate currently 2.5% above the horticulture award base rate)
• Piece Rate pay allows you to control your earning potential
• Pay in line with the Costa Berries Enterprise Agreement including double Piece Rate pay for work on Public Holidays and longer paid breaks than required by the Horticulture Award
• Ongoing work available through to April/May in Tasmania
• Full COVID protocols in place to protect all workers - registered COVID Safe Business TAS
• Access to free Employee Assistance Program (online and by phone) providing support to all employees
