Objective:
To maintain the highest level of guest satisfaction in all reception/front office duties whilst contributing to effective hotel operations and to supervise employees in line with roster hours and departmental procedures.
To contribute to the strategic goals and objectives of Ayers Rock Resort with responsibility to support, develop and retain Indigenous employees and trainees to achieve Indigenous employment targets

The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience in a Front Office/ Guest Service role within a 4 or 5 star environment
Previous supervisory experience considered an advantage
Thorough knowledge of Opera PMS, POS and Interfaces within either a single or multisite property.
All roles around Ayers Rock Resort are of a physical nature and require a reasonable level of fitness and physical ability to perform the role safely as outlined in departmental procedures.
Ability to work within a team and coordinate and schedule team members effectively
Good conflict resolution skills to resolve issues which may arise throughout shift
Ability to work independently
High level of written and verbal English communication skills
Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to the achievement of departmental goals
Ability to lead by example including professional etiquette, work standards and positive outlook
Reliability & trustworthiness

Key responsibilities:
Supervise the front office team and ensure all processes are adhered to in line with department procedures
Assist in the training of new front office team members and acts as a role model to team members
Provide a high standard of quality service to all guests by responding to all enquiries and issues efficiently
Book, sell and promote tour options in an unbiased manner
Process hotel charges to guests’ accounts, ensuring bills are accurate and that payments are processed correctly and securely
Check arrivals sheet, site inspections of rooms, and attend to any room changes as necessary, advising all relevant department of changes
If required, manage any after hours’ reservations, using your knowledge secure each booking
To uphold a professional image for the Resort at all times whilst undertaking daily duties.
To develop professional customer relationships and ongoing provision of excellence in customer service (internal and external) demonstrated through customer satisfaction and feedback
To liaise with various Resort departments to achieve an organised and cohesive approach towards daily operations
To complete all duties in line with standard operating procedures
To create and maintain positive internal relations with all staff and management throughout Ayers Rock Resort to assist and support the business operations
Maintain up to date knowledge of goods and services provided by Ayers Rock Resort as well as the local area in order to provide accurate and relevant information to customers
Resolve customer complaints to the customer’s satisfaction within your level of training and authority
