The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from applicants for a Screening Services Officer vacancy.


Salary

$57,305 to $61,704 pro-rata per annum

Period of Employment

Permanent, full time, day work, working 76 hours per fortnight, and
permanent, part time, day work, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing March 2021

Please note there are two positions to be filled and part time hours may be considered

BreastScreen Tasmania - South


Duties

Provide administrative support to the BreastScreen Tasmania program and other units within Population Screening and Cancer Prevention.

Provide high level service delivery to clients and staff of the BreastScreen Tasmania program.


Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1. Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) Crimes of Violence

b) Sex Related Offences

c) Serious Drug Offences

d) Crimes involving dishonesty

2. Identification check

3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check


Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of, and experience in the use of medical terminology.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
