Shadforth Financial Group is an award-winning Australian Wealth Management business, with a history da ng back to 1924. It is in this context that we are looking for a State Operations Manager to join our Advice Division.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Shadforth, Tasmania, you are primarily responsible for leading the client support teams, which consist of Associate Advisers, Paraplanners, Client Relationship Managers, and Client Service Managers.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • As necessary, monitor and manage team workflows to ensure that service standards are met
  • Train and provide mentoring and guidance, including periodic review of work for accuracy and timely completion
  • Manage the training and development program of reporting staff
  • Undertake any performance management of non-performing staff as required
  • Manage the training and development program of reporting staff
  • Deliver a program of continuous operational improvement across areas of responsibility
  • Oversight and follow up of both internal and external Private Wealth Adviser audit programs
  • Build and maintain an appropriate level of technical knowledge on financial planning issues
  • Successfully lead projects as agreed with the State Leadership Team

The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Undergraduate degree in a finance, business or management related stream
  • Strong experience working in similar role
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communications
  • Well organised, thorough and detail orientated
  • Highly collaborative and willing to contribute to the team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to Advance level in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to think outside the box and recommend solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
