Position details
Salary:
$131,494 pro rata, per annum.
Classification:
CSO Year 1 C
Award:
Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2019 and Ambulance Tasmania Award
Period of employment / Hours:
Fixed term full-time shift work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP for a period of 12 months.

Duties:
- Implement and/or coordinate training programs and objectives.
- Deliver an advanced level of pre-hospital clinical care in accordance with accepted procedures and protocols for Paramedics with Intensive Care qualifications.
- Advise and guide trainees.
- Monitor the standard of patient care through appropriate quality assurance processes.
- Maintain clinical excellence as an Intensive Care Paramedic.

Desirable Requirements:
- Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching for Health Care Professionals.
Essential Requirements:
- Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
- Holds current accreditation as an Intensive Care Paramedic with an additional qualification in training and assessment or equivalent as approved by the Service.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
- 1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
- a) crimes of violence
- b) sex related offences
- c) serious drug offences
- d) crimes involving dishonesty
- e) serious traffic offences
- 2. Identification check
- 3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
