Senior A05 Communications Officer Required for Busy Government Organisation based in Rockhampton.

Your new company
A large, well known State Government department us seeking an experienced Senior A05 Communications Officers to join their dynamic Rockhampton based team.

Your new role
In the role of Senior A05 Communications Officer, you will provide strategic communication services to technical and professional staff for community engagement, media relations, issues management, public affairs and stakeholder relationship management in relation to Projects across Rockhampton. Day to day your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

Previous experience in a senior or A05 level role us essential
Coordinate and execute community engagement for projects around the region
Assist in providing communication advice and support in the areas of media and issues management, risk assessment, community engagement and communication strategies
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate the preparation of executive correspondence and communications materials
Develop, plan and coordinate key communication activities in relation to the project
Ensure compliance within Queensland Government communication protocols.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this contract, you will possess proven and demonstrated experience within a similar role. You will also possess the following skills and attributes;
A 'C' class driver's licence
While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable.
Experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will also be highly regarded.
Ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders
High level written and verbal communication skills
Immaculate organisational skills
