Searson Buck is delighted to be partnering with Tasmanian Oyster Company to appoint a highly motivated and agile Sales and Marketing Manager to identify and drive new business within the domestic and export markets.
The Tasmanian Oyster Co. was founded as a cooperative in 1979 by the early pioneers of the Tasmanian pacific oyster industry. To be based out of Hobart, this role has been created to promote the company's product range, recruit and service new food retail customers in both the domestic and export markets. The Sales and Marketing Manager must possess a strong supply chain understanding (ideally within food / fresh produce) in order to create business opportunities within large chains as well as boutique/ specialist stores initially within Melbourne and Brisbane.
The company will provide good salary incentives to recognize opportunities and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with the Management team and external resources to research and implement company marketing and sales plans.
Pro-actively identify new business opportunities and deliver growth within existing customers.
Nurture and develop customer relationships.
Strengthen brand awareness and grow the company's value chain.
Ensure consistent professional customer service to understand and meet their product requirements.
Delegate work plans to sales staff and conduct regular performance reviews.
Comply with all regulatory conditions.
Prepare accurate documentation and record all customer communication.
Manage customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
Attend regular Executive Team meetings and prepare reports for the Board.
Establish effective working relationships with staff.
Maintain up to date knowledge of all laws and procedures, licensing compliance and restrictions.
Background and Experience Needed
Demonstrated a minimum of three years' previous related experience within sales/marketing role (FMCG preferred).
Able to operate autonomously and work extended hours when required.
Flexibility to travel and visit markets on a regular basis.
