Your Employer

Is a global company with 41 manufacturing facilities across five continents. With their branch located in Latrobe, Tasmania they market pharmaceutical products including a portfolio of branded dermatology products and a range of oral and specialty generics. The company is also known for poppy-derived opiate raw materials used in the manufacture of analgesics. All products are manufactured to meet the stringent standards of the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration.

The Role

We are pleased to be representing our exciting new client in their search for experienced Production Staff for their operational facilities located at Latrobe, Tasmania.

As Production Staff you are responsible for the intake and processing of poppies to ensure the highest quality standards. You will need to be diligent in following strict operational procedures and comply with all workplace health and safety guidelines.

This is a seasonal role, expected to commence early January for 2 - 3 months (subject to change) and requires all candidates to go through a criminal history check prior to starting. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Operation of fixed plant machinery (troubleshooting)
Forklift operation
Crop identification
Cleaning and maintenance
General labour
Actively participate and contribute to a continuous culture of safety
Other tasks as required

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 36 hours/week

Your Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience working in a comparable role within a production environment and is equipped with a current forklift licence and significant forklift operating experience.

To be successful in your application, you will need to be proactive and a keen team player with strong communication skills and capable of working in hot and dusty environments.

To be considered for the role, it's important you can address the following criteria:

Forklift licence and experience
Prior experience in a factory/manufacturing environment
Submit to a national police check (or have a national police check less than 3 years old)
Pass pre-employment medical and drug screening
Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment
Willing to undertake repetitive labouring tasks
